Psalm 121

I life up my eyes to the hills--
Where does my help come from?
My help comes from the LORD,
the Maker of heaven and earth.

He will not let your foot slip--
He who watches over you will not slumber;
indeed, he who watches over Israel
will neither slumber nor sleep.

The LORD watches over you--
the Lord is the shade at your right hand;
the sun will not harm you by day,
nor the moon by night.

The LORD will keep you from all harm--
he will watch over your life;
the Lord will watch over your coming and going
both now and forevermore.


I read from Psalms every day. Its refreshing and stimulating. It helps me worship God with His own words. This morning I came to Psalm 121. In light of everything thats occurred in the past year, I can still rejoice because I know all of this is just temporary. That really, I am living for eternity. That God is watching every step, guiding me and hopeful that I will follow. It says in verse 7 that the LORD will keep us from all harm. I believe that is literal. I do not believe that bad things won't happen to us on earth, only that these things will benefit us in eternity. Praise Him!
