This month was insane with school and other stuff. 3 books.

The Here and Now by Ann Brashares
A YA, sci-fi adventure involving time travel, pandemic viruses and young love. Prenna and her mother are among a group of post-apocalyptic time travelers who return to 2014 to find "patient x", the first human infected with a deadly virus that nearly wipes out the entire planet by 2098. Prenna meets Ethan, and, even though it is against community rules to engage with anyone outside the community, they develop a relationship and vow to work together to change the course of the future. Both will have to make sacrifices to attain their goals. But, will that be enough? (3.5/5 stars)

Me Before You by JoJo Moyes
When Lou Clark loses her job because of the tanked economy, she scrambles to find another. She enlists with a temp agency, who directs her in the path of the Traynor family.  35-year-old Will Traynor was in an accident two years prior and is now paralyzed from the waist down. Lou is hired to take care of some of his daily needs and to keep him company in general. The job is to last 6 months. Lou figures that it will be easy money, allowing her to help with her family's income and even put a little away to pursue a degree in fashion somewhere down the line. Or at least, just tide her over until she marries her long-time boyfriend and starts having babies. Little does she know, this job will actually derail the course of her entire life. (3.5/5 stars)

The Dead and the Gone by Susan Beth Pfeffer
New York City. A meteor hits the moon, knocking it out of its orbit, closer to the earth. This sets off a chain of devastating events around the world: tidal waves, hurricanes, tsunamis, earthquakes and all kinds of unusal weather patterns. Millions of people are dead and even more go missing. 17-year-old Alex's parents are among the missing. Alex and his siblings have to struggle to survive in "the city that never sleeps", which has suddenly become a wasteland. Will they ever be reunited with their parents? Or will the entire Morales family succumb to the catastrophes enveloping the city. (3.5/5 stars)

My favorite book this month was The Dead and the Gone. With that said, time to get back to studying for the 8 exams I have left this term....
