Love

How blessed I am to share my life with an INCREDIBLE man who treats me with respect, loves me, honors me, cherishes me, and shares this life so completely with me. Often I feel so undeserving of his love and commitment to me. If I lose my temper, or say something rude, or put something else ahead of him or his needs, I feel like the worst wife in the world. Yet, his forgiveness is always so complete and so sincere. I try to reciprocate these actions when (rarely) he does something to upset me or hurt my feelings, or just plain pisses me off. We never go to bed angry--its one of the "cardinal rules" of our marriage. Forgiveness is highly regarded in our home. Because we know that no matter what we do to each other, its nothing compared to what we've done to our God, to our Jesus. And He forgives us...

How blessed I am to share in life with our Savior Christ Jesus! He loves me, cherishes me, shares my life so completely, though I don't deserve it most of the time. I say mean things, do mean things, or put something else ahead of Him. But never has "worthiness" been a stipulation for our God! His mercy and grace; His forgiveness is a freewill offering! Because its not about what I do to deserve something--its about what He did (and does) to deserve something! And that something--all He wants--is me...and you...and every being He's ever created...to love Him. I am awed any time I read Scripture that describes His love for us. Its a love that can never be compared to on Earth. Unconditional love.

Lam 3:22 "Because of the Lord's great love, we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail."

John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life."

1 Cor 13:4-8 "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices in truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails."

Who need Valentine's Day when you can celebrate love every day?! :)
